My lab has a particular interest in how the lysosome contributes to cancer pathogenesis with a focus on studying pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA). our work has identified novel mechanisms mediating constitutive activation of lysosome biogenesis via coordinated transcriptional upregulation of lysosome transcriptional signatures in PDA and in normal physiological contexts.

We’re part of the Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases, Transcriptional and post-transcriptional mechanisms generating neural cell-surface diversity Pieper Lab . Our research focuses on developing better therapies for the treatment of glioma. Projects in the Pieper Lab are directed at better understanding which pathways are critical for glioma formation, and in rationally developing therapies that target these pathways. UCSF iLab Solutions provides our cores and core users with web-based scheduling, ordering, and billing system to provide ease of access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, services, and expert staff. She joined the lab in August 2017 and will for 10 months be working on different projects in the Bickler Lab. Her primary focus will be her research project investigating the association between intra-operative tissue oxygenation and post-operative clinical outcome in patients undergoing spine surgery at UCSF. Located at UCSF's Mission Bay campus The Basbaum lab is a group of Students, Interns and Postdoctuoral Fellows commited to pain research. UCSF Lab Services at Mount Zion performs diagnostic and other laboratory tests for patients receiving care in our hospital and clinics and for our scientific researchers. Your doctor may order specific tests to better understand your condition. UCSF laboratories perform more than 4.2 million tests every year.
Our lab combines machine learning and chemical biology methods to investigate how small molecules perturb protein networks to achieve therapeutic effects.
